Week 12 - Comments - Mugg

Hi Anne ~ I have never come across this autobiography.  Corey is one of those young actors I have adored.  Especially from the "Goonies" days.  I never realized he was in a McDonald's commercial.  I really enjoyed this week's readings as well.  They gave a good basis for judging nonfiction.  When it comes to a story, I have forgotten where I read this, but "a good story is a good story" and I think that holds true for all of our readings this semester. Lovely annotation and also some great readalikes.

Hi Kaela ~ I have seen this book listed in so many different places, library sites, in the libraries, on Goodreads, and even my readalikes I have been browsing.  Stories of children enduring hardship, torment and brutality along with homelessness are a hard read for me and not one I would make by choice.  I would probably cry throughout this novel.  Your annotation has it sounding like an interesting read, especially "pulling at your heartstrings."  That kind of reading makes me think about the story over and over.  I enjoyed reading your annotation.
